Gabriel Rocamora

Gabriel (he/they/siya) is a 23 year old student at Laney Community College who is majoring in Asian american Studies, he was born in Castro Valley & raised around the East Bay & in the Santa Cruz Mountains. They want to be an Educator and are passionate about Abolition, Environmental Justice, and Art. They have organized in the past with their trans, queer & API communities in the context of building community safety, promoting harm reduction, and supporting student belonging. He feels called to work with YVA because he appreciates YVA’s commitment to building youth power within frontline communities and is excited to support & follow the lead of youths in protecting their planet and their futures. To Gabriel, climate justice is about creating & protecting the health, safety & justice for all humans, plants & animals on the Earth.
